Via a Global Health Partnership programme, Eyehope supports educational training in Tanzania via our link with Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar Es Salaam.

Staff from St Thomas’ Eye Department provide onsite education and clinical & surgical training to medical and nursing staff and students.

They have helped set up Diabetic Screening Programs and Childrens’ Services including a Retinoblastoma network.

Eyehope provides ophthalmic equipment, including retinal cameras, scanners and laser machines.

Eyehope provides financial support for Muhimbili staff to come to come to St Thomas’ Hospital as part of an exchange training programme.
